Microbiology and Innate Immunology

Tang lab’s general research lies in investigating the mechanisms underlying antimicrobial resistance and host-bacterial interactions in infectious diseases caused by Listeria monocytogenes or Staphylococcus aureus.

Using cutting-edge and multidisciplinary methods in biochemistry, microbiology, cell biology, and genetics, we are engaged in understanding the impact of antibiotics on bacterial physiological processes and pathogenesis, as well as how this process affects the host immune responses.

The Tang lab is actively recruiting enthusiastic graduate students and a lab technician to join the group. Please checkout our research to learn about current research directions.
